About Guy
Guy lived most of his life in a machine, teaching himself to read on Applesoft Reference manuals after his father told him that computers "were going to be big some day." Moving through performance engineering, smart devices, websites, robotics and a couple of high energy nuclear physics laboratories, Guy loves hacking out code with vim when not consulting on speeding up applications from encoding technologies to world scale webapps.
Guy strongly dislikes whiteboard coding interviews (although he's thinking about building a whiteboard deep learning IDE to share the silliness of this emphasis as a gauge of coding skill). He doesn't like regular expressions in production code (they're often poorly written and given little review) and just about anything in a code base that hinders developer reasoning.
